What was originally Props Issue 23 became a milestone in BMX videos and the first in the Road Fools series - as it presented a BMX roadtrip in documentary form.

The crew of the first Road Fools was Joe Rich, Taj Mihelich, Jimmy Levan, Dave Freimuth, Robbie Morales, Sandy Carson, and Derek Adams who unleashed cutting edge riding of the time. They visited Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and more. The video showed some of the first backwards rails ever and the infamous Road Gap in Austin, TX. Classic antics like the crew hanging with crazy cow girls and fulfilling Jimmy's dream of visiting the UFO crash site in Roswell, NM.

Compared to modern Road Fools vids this one is rough around the edges, but some like it that way.

Road Fools 1 was released on VHS in early 1998.
