BNQT.com catches up with Australian super surf star Owen Wright. On his third year on the ASP World Tour Wright has become a force majeur being one of only a handful of surfers able to beat Kelly Slater in a final as he did so at the Quik Pro New York last September. At Teahupoo 2011 Wright made the finals against Slater, narrowly losing to the 11-time champ. The next event in New York saw Wright detrhone the king before meeting him for a third time at Trestles the following event. Plagued by injury late in 2011 Wright's mid-season momentum dwindled but he's back in 2012 feeling fit and ready to take aim at the ASP's best.
