April 20, 2008 By: andria This weekend was the last weekend for Alta. It's bitter sweet. I'm happy spring is here but also sad that winter is over. April 16, 2008 By: andria Today was the first day of the qualifiers. I think it was a harder venue than what we are skiing tomorrow. It also was the longest venue I've ever seen, minus the final day venue in Tigne, France. Anyways, it was a good showing today. I was impressed. It's dumping here in Alyeska!! April 09, 2008 By: andria Alyeska…it’s a small resort but an amazing one. It was a ghost town up there yesterday. We were about the only ones on the mountain, along with a few fellow competitors. The resort didn’t open until 10:30 so we started skiing around 11am. The resort is smaller, but steep!! Davos, Switzerland NOT on World Tour March 30, 2008 By: andria A little disappointed this year, I never made it to Europe to ski. I was supposed to go to Austria for a comp but I ended up not going due to a minor injury. Then the IFSA World Tour announced a stop in Davos, Switzerland. I was psyched! March 30, 2008 By: andria Today was the last competition of the year for the Alta Freeride Jr. Team. I was a judge and will say, I was impressed. This little kids ages 11-17 were rippers. The development team started off the competition in Eagle's Nest up at Alta. All six of these guys had good solid technique and skied fluid the entire run. Next up the girls. March 27, 2008 By: andria I can't believe this winter is coming to an end. It's flown by. A few disappointments and a few surprises. Overall it's been a good season for me. I'm skiing a lot better and I hit the biggest cliff ever last weekend in the comp, not on purpose. I've gotten out a lot with photographers, which is what the sponsors want. March 25, 2008 By: andria Today I show up at Snowbird around 2pm and as I head towards the tram I notice a lady wearing tight pants going into the boots with a higher than waist jacket with goggles that look like my grandpa wore them when he was eight.
