29-year-old pro skier Sarah Burke passed away peacefully on July 19, 2012  at 9:22 am at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt lake City. Despite a successful operation last Wednesday to repair a damaged vertebral artery, Burke had suffered irreversible brain damage and was put on life support. Popular Skateboarder Peter Starr passed away this past Saturday in a motorcycle accident when he lost control of his bike near the 101-80 connector ramp in San Francisco. Starr was only 24 years old.
