Australians know how to do it right. They don't just look at bikini girls in calendars, they invite every lady with a two piece within a 1000 km to come to the beach and strut their stuff. At least that's what went down on October 2 along the Gold Coast of Queensland at Surfers Paradise. There 357 feminine swimwear fanatics entered the event to set the Guinness Book of World Record for women in bikinis parading by the beach, smashing the previous record set by Cayman Islands of 331. Bikini inventor Paula Stafford, who introduced the two-piece bathing suit to Australia 65 years ago, honoured the event with her very cheery and graceful presence. Strutting around in her pants, shirt and the signature pink cap, Stafford told Australia's Sky News: “I think it’s wonderful! It’s so exciting!” - Indeed it is Paula, indeed it is.
