The 2011 UCI World Championships of mountain biking which will be held this weekend in Champery, Switzerland feature some of the most steep and technical courses of the year. Between the last leg of the race in Val de sole and the finals in Champery set to begin September 4th were dozens of broken vans, road trips, bike rides to the Alps, SRAM pits and the beautiful Aiguille du midi. With nearly a thousand racers already registered in almost 50 countries, the UCI World Championships includes all major mountain bike disciplines. This will be a weekend no avid biker will want to miss. Luckily we came across this photo gallery courtesy of Vital MTB to get you stoked for the competition!
