For a woman pro surfer to become successful, she has to be one of two things. Extremely talented at her craft, or unbelievably beautiful. Some have the ultimate dangerous combination. Looks and talent. This week’s Would You? is a rising star in professional surfing, one who will be making a lot of waves on her own in the coming years. This week’s Would You? is Lani Doherty.
Doherty was born into surfing. Her father used to make surfboard fins and taught her how to surf as she grew up on the island of Maui, Hawaii. Doherty now lives in San Clemente and continues to mix it up between competing in contests and modeling, and at the young age of 18 will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.
