Nothing symbolizes the perfect balance between winter and summer than beanies and bikinis. On one hand you've got the sun, sand and surf - on the other, the cozy comfort of wool and warmth. For a number of years the Wavehouse down in San Diego held an annual bikini contest dubbed as such. Though it's no longer on the event calendar, here's a look back at a memorable collection of images of girls that champion both the blessings of the Mother Ocean and the wonders of Old Man Winter.
