Action Athletes Celebrate 50 Years of Target

Talk about an all-star lineup! From our friends at Target...

As a part of Target's 50th anniversary celebration, we brought almost our entire team of athletes to New York City. Our crew included Shaun White, Paul Rodriguez, Carissa Moore, Simon Dumont, Torin Yater-Wallace, Ryan Dungey and Kevin Robinson. We were just missing Kolohe Andino, as he was surfing in the contest in Portugal. Because we partner with athletes across so many different disciplines, it's rare to get them all in the same place at the same time. In fact, this is the first time we've had these seven together, and it was a blast! We took everyone on a boat ride around Manhattan during the day and got some photos of the group and then gave everyone enough time to get shined up for the party that night (including a shopping trip to pick up new suits for a few of the guys).

Then, it was off to the party, where they started out with a walk on the red carpet, met the Target dog, Bullseye, and spent time with a few hundred of Target's other friends and partners. Both Shaun and Kevin have been with Target for over a decade now, so our program is definitely rooted in Target's history and it was important for everyone to be included in the celebration. A few surprise performances - including one from Alicia Keys - topped off the event. We finished off the trip with a dinner on the Lower East Side before everyone went back in their separate directions (Central America for Carissa, San Francisco Dew Tour for Paul, Monster Cup in Las Vegas for Ryan, back to the mountains for the skiers, Florida for Shaun, and Penn Station to catch a train back to Rhode Island for Kevin).
