January 11, 2010 American Mark Miller took his first ever stage win on the fifth stage of the Dakar Rally in Chile, providing a successful day for Volkswagen and Red Bull. Two-time World Rally champion Carlos Sainz leads the Dakar in front of his Volkswagen teammates, Nasser Al-Attiyah and Miller, with the fourth VW TDI driven by De Villiers in 7th place, four hours back.
