Last week YoBeat cornered the mysterious and infamous Portland-based designer Aaron Draplin, and while you may not have heard of Aaron Draplin, you've most likely seen his work.
Be it designing the pages of Snowboarder and Snowboard to working with brands such as Union Bindings, Nixon, Grenade, Burton, Ride, GNU and many others, the style of Draplindustries is everywhere.
On a mainstream level Draplin's successful collaboration with Coudal Parners on the Field Notes Brand has reached new heights and is available at speciality shops nationwide as well as Urban Outfitters. Most auspicious of all, Draplin, in 2009 had a hand in designing the logo for for the United States Department of Transportation stimulus project.
This week, as a Part 2 interview, Draplin discusses his fascination for tricky action sports bullshit.
