You can't see this in the photo, but Mark Sollors is definitely bumping some techno in his earbuds. Back seven mute. p: Darcy Bacha
Summer camp is a lush oasis in an otherwise arid season filled by passing the time waiting for school to start up again. The Meatballs-esque establishments ripe with archery, hikes, and swim tests are all fine and dandy, but for the winter-obsessed, there s nothing like a week spent at Mount Hood. At Windells you can get all of that old-fashioned-Bill Murray-camp life, while also learning frontboards on dfds, hanging out with your favorite pro riders, and winning tons of free stuff from snowboard companies. Don t worry, traditionalists, there are nightly bonfires complete with s mores, so everything is covered.
The highlighted list last week seemed to be a pretty good format for the weekly Windells wrap up, so here is it again, your top hits from Windells Session 5.

Austin Hironaka back seven. Japmob! p: Darcy Bacha
- 1. The biggest news? The biggest jump on Hood, set up next to the rope tow, which allowed everyone to get a ludicrous amount of laps in. It was a party in the jumpline Jonah Owen, Austin Hironaka, John Shaw, Sawyer Deen, Danny Toumarkine, Kazu Kokubo, and Teddy Koo were spinning all sorts of ways, directions, and doing different grabs and what not.

Brandon Cocard has one of the best methods in snowboarding. Here's evidence. p: Darcy Bacha
- 2. Mark Sollors, Charles Reid, and Zak Hale were at camp for Burton Week. After they attacked the jump on hill, they came down to camp and put kids to task in some of the wildest challenges that have gone down all summer. First, was Burton Brownnose, where campers ate a concoction of chocolate frosting, chocolate pudding, chocolate syrup, and corn, out of new men s whitey-tighties. It was so unappealing that, at dinner later on, dessert went completely untouched.

Why does that kid have underwear on his head? Mark Sollors and Zak Hale probably know. p: Darcy Bacha

Izzy Lalive is awesome. She is always smiling, stoked and sending it. We are down for Izzy. Back rodeo seven. p: Darcy Bacha
- 3. Sage Kotsenburg consumed more than his weight in Mike n Ikes and Laffy Taffy and had enough energy to throw doubles in the park every day.

Sage Kotsenburg ate extra Airheads before hitting this jump, so he'd be extra lofty. Lame caption, but seriously, he loves candy. And at the store, Airheads were 10 for a dollar. p: Darcy Bacha
Session 5 the park gets a huge overhaul. Here's the new set up. p: Darcy Bacha
- 4. Numerous pro shreds skated the concrete park campers were treated to follow lines by Jussi Oksanen, MFM, Chris Larson, Louif Paradis, and Stevie Bell.

- Chase Weaver is the Assistant Head Digger and hails from North Carolina. It is a common misconception that everyone from NC often takes their shirt off and twists it 'round their head like a helicopter. But, that's not true. Chase is fully clothed, with both a shirt AND a jacket. Thanks for spreading rumors, Petey Pablo. p: Darcy Bacha

Danny Toumarkine doesn't need a wide run-in to lock into a solid noseblunt. p: Darcy Bacha
- 5. One of the campers favorite activities, Pie in the Face night, had guest targets, when Sollors, Reid, Hale, and MFM sat in to let kids hit them repeatedly in the face with whipped cream pies. The pros were incredibly good sports about the whole thing, though they did remark that everything smelled like milk for hours afterward.

Zak Hale wasn't even ten when MTV's Singled Out was on television, but he set up a dating game at camp to hook a lady camper up with Burton schwag. Come to think of it, most of the people reading this caption probably weren't even ten either, when Singled Out was on. p: Riley Snyder
Stay tuned for more from Session 6, when Sage Kotsenburg is joined by Eric Willet and Forest Bailey. The sun s out, there s lots of snow and the skateboarding s great! Check out www.windells.com/blog for updates!
