The Grand Prize for the 2009 Men’s Fantasy Surfer winner was announced last week sending thousands of players around the globe into a trading frenzy. This year’s winner will take home a VIP trip for two to the Gold Coast for the 2010 Quiksilver Pro in February. The prize package includes two round trip tickets, paid accommodations, and VIP passes to the contest. You read right, according to Thomas, SURFER has “slightly modified the format of Fantasy Surfer, in that only the top 6 results for the year count toward a player’s final score.” Which means, there is still time to rack up the points in your own campaign toward an expenses paid trip to the 2010 Quiksilver Pro.
 
Just don’t wait too long as J-Bay starts July 9th and closes the door to the Gold Coast for any non-registered players. “Players who’ve already tallied up some good scores have a small head start, but it is still anyone’s race,” cautions Thomas. “Let the games begin."
