Some big competitions this weekend with the kick-offs of the Dew Tour in Boston and the Swatch TTR World Snowboarding Tour. Also this week, we saw the 2010 Surfing America USA Championships, more Gatorade Free Flow qualifying sessions, and another stop on the Lucas Oil Motocross tour. Across the pond, there was a sick FMX event in Moscow and some crazy skating events going down in Copenhagen. Enjoy coverage from this week's events!
Dew Tour Kicks off in Boston
Canadian Pierre-Luc Gagnon, 30, won the skate vert finals and Milwaukee, Wis.-native Greg Lutzka, 25, won the skate park finals on Saturday at the Dew Tour Skate Open in Boston. The wins earned Gagnon and Lutzka the title of ISF Skateboarding World Champion in their respective disciplines. With a score of 91.26 in the vert competition, Gagnon beat out Sandro Dias of Brazil and Boston-born Andy Macdonald, who earned second and third. In skate park, Lutzka bested Ryan Sheckler in second and Chaz Ortiz in third. Full coverage here.
2010 Surfing America USA Championships
In San Clemente this weekend, top seeds Kolohe "Brother" Andino, Evan Geiselman, Andrew "Droid" Doheny and Conner Coffin dominated their Round 2 Boys U18 heats Friday, taking the lead with big maneuvers right out of the gate and forcing competitors to chase down their high scores. Round 2 of the Boys U16 saw two perfect scores, from Parker Coffin and Andino. The two battled for first in the quarter finals, where Parker triumphed; upsetting Andino's streak of first place finishes thus far in the contest. In the Girls divisions, Lakey Peterson, Courtney Conlogue, and Kaleigh Gilchrist dominated. Competition continues today. Full coverage here.

Lakewood: Stop 5 on the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships
Ryan Dungey took the lead after Andrew Short went down in lap 5, but Josh Grant pulled ahead to win moto one in the 450 competition. Dungey came back to victory in moto two and won the overall competition, with Ben Townley and Brett Metcalfe rounding out the top three overall. In the 250, the moto one rankings saw Christophe Pourcel leading teammate Dean Wilson and Trey Canard. Despite some competition from Tyla Rattry, the overall top three after moto two were Pourcel, Canard, and Wilson. Check out coverage and photos from the 450 and 250 here.
5Star Billabong Ante Up
On June 26, the Swatch TTR World Tour kicked off with its first competition. The summertime event was held up at 7,000-feet in the Camp of Champions park on the Blackcomb glacier and featured a massive 75-foot gap jump. The event featured 40 riders going for a piece of the $50,000 prize purse and 850 TTR ranking points. It was an all-Canadian podium and Sebastien Toutant took the top spot. Skating in Copenhagen
After the Burning of the Witch celebration on the longest day of the year, skaters geared up for the DVS CPH Pro 2010. Burning of the Witch, put on by Rune Glifberg and sponsors Thrasher and Volcom, saw a trick contest and a massive bonfire. Just a few days later, skaters geared up for the DVS CPH Pro 2010. The top three in the Street finals were Luan Oliveira with $10,00, Torey Pudwill $8,000, and Sean Malto $6,000. Rune won the vert competition and best trick went to Rodrigo Leal with a Backside kickflip 360 down the stair set. Full coverage from Tackyworld.
X Fighters Moscow
While some motocross racers were in Lakewood for the Lucas Oil Tour, twelve freestyle motocrossers were in Moscow's Red Square to compete in the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour. Against the scenic backdrop of the Kremlin, New Zealand's Levi Sherwood got his second ever win on the tour, beating out American Nate Adams in the finals. Third-place finisher Andre Villa continues to lead the overall standings in the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2010. Coverage from FuelTV.
More riders advance to Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals
Tough competitions at Skatelab skate park in Simi Valley, Calif. and Woodward Denver in Denver, Colo. resulted in the top amateurs advancing to the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals taking place September 16-19 in Salt Lake City. From Skatelab comes Chase Webb, while Colorado natives Wyatt Milhollan, Phil Hansen and Trey Herrera will represent Woodward Denver in the finals.
