Check out all the action sports action that you may have missed this week while celebrating the nation's independence. Now that you are back to your daily life and back on the Internet, here are some highlights as June turned to July.

American pride for Independence Day at Red Bud.Red Bud National
This weekend, Buchanan, MI hosted one of the most popular motocross events. The Rockstar Energy Red Bud National was the sixth stop on the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. In front of a dedicated crowd of fans and locals, Ryan Dungey pulled out his fifth overall win in a row, widening his lead in the championships even further. He faced stiff competition from Ben Townley, Andrew Short, and Chad Reed, but still managed to come out on top. The Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship will take a weekend off, then return July 17 for the Rockstar Energy Spring Creek Motocross Park in Millville, MN. Photo galleries and coverage here.
Rob Dyrdek, skate legend and founder of Street
League.Street League DC Pro x ESPN
Rob Dyrdek signed a multiyear with ESPN to broadcast his Street League DC Pro fueled by Monster Energy. The invite-only three-event series is known as the anti-X Games because it is a different type of contest format. The Street League tour begins at in Glendale, Arizona on August 28th; followed by stops in Ontario, California on September 11th; and Las Vegas on September 25th. ESPN will start its broadcast of the events on Wednesday, September 15 at 8p.m. PT and will continue coverage every Wednesday until the end of the tour. Check out the full story here.

Catching some airNSSA Surfing America Finals
Evan Geiselman took the U18 boys title in Huntington Beach on July 3, earning the Governor's Cup and a spot on the US Team for the next ISA World Surfing Games. Kolohe Andino beat out Parker Coffin and Colin Moran for victory in the U16 boys competition. On the girls side, Kaleigh Gilchrist won U18s and Tatiana Weston-Webb took U14s and U16s by surfing up a division. Full coverage here.

Snowboard coaching staff on Day 1 of Session 3.More from Windells
Rome's John Cavan, Ron Faverty, Laurent-Nicolas Paquin, and Eiki Helgasson came to Session 3 of Windells for some skating, some snowboarding, and some hanging out. Next, Windells will gear up to host the Technine Team for Session 4 from July 6-13. In addition to the great action going down at Windells camp this summer, Windells Academy has officially added a skateboarding program, making it the first skateboard-specific academy in the world.

Majerus, Johnson, and Christianson will compete in
the X Games.2010 Zumiez Best Foot Forward
The am contest wrapped up over the weekend. After 15 stops in the US, the Zumiez Best Foot Forward contest made its last stop in St. Paul, MN on July 1. After Alec Majerus won the St. Paul event, he joined 16 other skaters from around the country to compete in the finals. Majerus, Ke'Chaud Johnson, and Julian Christianson ended up on the podium and earned spots to compete in the Hometown Heroes Skate Finals at the X-Games in LA on Aug 1. More videos and coverage here.
Mad DogNike 6.0 BCN BMX PRO Finals
In Barcelona, the best international BMX riders battled for the top slot to win 20,000 pounds and a trip to the HB BMX PRO in Huntington Beach August 5-8. Dennis Enarson took the top slot after succeeding in the previous day's qualifying positions. In the best trick competition, Ryan Nyquist, Alex Colborn, Gary Young, Brett "Mad Dog" Banasiewicz put up some new and difficult combos, but the 1000 pound prize went to Michael Beran with a bike flip to tire tap whip in. Matthew McConaugheyJudge Throws out Surfer vs. Paparazzi Case
Two years ago, two surfers were accused of fighting with paparazzi who were trying to get photos of Matthew McConaughey filming a movie on the beach in Malibu. According to the Associated Press, the case was closed Friday, June 30 when prosecutors declined to begin a third trial against Skylar Peak Philip Hildebrand after the jury did not come to a conclusive decision on the misdemeanor battery case.
