As Summer rolls on, so do the action sports tours. Ryan Dungey, as usual, dominated another Lucas Oil AMA Pro Moto event. The Pro Wake Tour had another pit stop in Colorado Springs. Red Bull X Fighters headed to Madrid, the Dew Tour BMX Open was in Chicago, and Quiksilver held a surf comp in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. To top it all off, Tony Hawk fell down during a skate demo at Downtown Disney... not the happiest place on Earth for everyone, I guess. Check it out!

Robbie Maddison Wins Red Bull X Fighters Madrid
This weekend, the Red Bull X Fighters came to Madrid for the fourth stop on a world tour. Aussie Robbie Maddison was victorious, with Mat Rebeaud and Andre Villa rounding out the top three. Maddison is now 45 points behind tour leader Villa. The next stop of the tour is August 14 in London, where Villa will hope to further his lead as Maddison, Nate Adams, and Levi Sherwood claw at his heels. Coverage of the Madrid stop on BNQT and tour info at the X Fighters homepage.

Bob Soven Takes PWT Colorado Springs

At the fourth stop of the Pro Wakeboard Tour, expectations lay with Phillip Soven to claim victory. But in the finals, Phillip's younger brother Bob shocked the crowd after coming from behind to win the event. This is Bob's first Pro Tour win in the Pro Men's Division, but despite the big victory, he still didn't crack the top three overall ranking. Phillip is the points leader with 345 points, followed by last weekend's winner Harley Clifford at 330 points, and Rusty Malinoski at 246 points. The next event will take place in Knoxville, TN on Aug. 14. More coverage at ALLI Wakeboarding.

BMX Open Wraps in Chicago

Chicago hosted the first Dew Tour BMX event of the season last weekend with the Nike 6.0 BMX Open. Miami, Fla. native Mike Spinner, 22, won the BMX park final, England's Jamie Bestwick, 39, won the vert final and 15-year-old Brett Maddog Banasiewicz became the youngest BMX athlete to top the podium after winning the dirt final. Quiksilver Four-Star Pro from Puerto Escondido

Local boy David Rutherford won the latest Quiksilver Pro event in Oaxaca, Mexico over the weekend. The waves were huge and crazy, which made for a lot of pipe surfing and even a broken board. The event's location made it easy for South American surfers to shine on home turf, which is exactly what wildcard David Rutherford did. More coverage at BNQT.

Dungey Wins Again... Shocker!

Ryan Dungey won the Washougal Retro National this weekend, which marks his seventh consecutive victory in the 450 class. Washougal, Washington hosted the eighth event in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross championship. Always the bridesmaid, Andrew Short took second place again, followed by Australian Brett Metcalfe in third. Dungey leads the overall standings by an absurd 95 point margin. In the 250, Trey Canard won at Washougal, which inches him closer to overall leader and second-place finisher Christophe Pourcel. Coverage from ALLI.

Tony Hawk Takes a Tumble at Downtown Disney

In Anaheim this weekend, Downtown Disney hosted its first Action Sports Weekend. The three-day event features djs, dancing, games, prizes, street team performances, athlete meet-and-greets, and skate and BMX demos. At 6 pm on Saturday, Tony Hawk and friends took to a giant vert ramp to show off their moves. Tony Hawk fell pretty hard and had to be rushed to the UC Irvine Trauma Center. He is now recovering and giving updates to fans through his Twitter. OC Register article here.

22-foot pipe this year!

Getting Pumped for the Winter Dew Tour

Summertime is great for surf, skate, and sun, but all you snowboard and ski enthusiasts may be having powder withdrawals. Luckily, the Winter Dew Tour is getting even bigger this year, with new reasons to be excited for snow season. 1) The pipe will grow to 22 feet, making it an Olympic-worthy course. 2) The Tour adds Vermont's Killington Resort as the second stop. The tour will kick off in Breckenridge, CO on Dec. 16, followed by the Killington stop in January and the final event in Ogden, Utah at the Snowbasin Resort on Feb. 10-13. More info and photos to get you stoked from ALLI snowboarding.
