Take us through a typical summer day: Wake up at 6:45, eat breakfast, pull students till 12:00, eat lunch, ride, pull students till 5:30, eat dinner, throw a boomerang, ride, go fishin’ till dark, go get some meat, catfish till midnight.
Take us through a typical competition day, what are you thinking: Don’t fall. Or maybe even, “if I land these tricks then maybe I can buy a new bass tracker.â€Â
First and Last concert seen? De La Soul was the first. And the last was Metric.
What music has been hot on your iPod lately? Metric, for sure. Maybe even some T.I. (King).
Best memory of the past season? I met a mermaid. And saw a snowsquirrel.
Growing up, what influenced you the most in wakeboarding? Watching videos with my bro. I don’t know, I was really young.
What do you do when you are not riding? I fingerboard a lot, build new rails... pool gaps, get in fights with wildebeests.
Tell us about your idol. Well you might have heard of him... He doesn’t come out much... his name is Sasquatch.
What makes you smile? Bears, flowers and bears.
What is next for you with wakeskating? I’m not sure, but I’m going to try to be as innovative as possible.
What's hot right now in wakeskating? Usually the hottest thing anywhere is fire.
If you weren't wakeskating, what would you be doing? I would live back in the woods you see. The woman and the kids and the dogs and me.
Your perfect day? I would wake up to the smell of biscuits and gravy, then eat them. Then I would head out for a little shred session out on Lake Hansen. Then Eat up at Choctaw Willys. Then head up to my favorite local skate spot and shred. Then I would go tear up Metro West. Then hit up the Olive Garden for dinner. Then hit up some Bass fishin’ on lake Hansen.
Tell us something that we don't already know about you. I once tamed a Kodiak Bear with my smile.
What super-hero would you want to be? Batman, I mean, anybody who can sneak around that easily is all right in my book.(I don’t actually have a book, I was just saying that so there was more drama in my answer)
What are you going to do that is ground breaking next year? Maybe a suicide kickflip might be cool. Or maybe a nollie kickflip.
