It's a new year, the season is just beginning, and that means there's no better time to make sure you have a dialed appearance for 2012.
You've picked up your outerwear, your board, boots, and bindings, and now it is time to pay attention to the little things, because aren't details everything?
Freshen up your kit, with ten accessories and softgoods to complete your look in 2012.
Start at the top: keep your head warm.

Neff offers a huge variety of headwear, so whether you're into bright and loud, or dark and muted, there's something to meet your tastes. Represent your home mountain with the local collabs that Neff produces. Loon Mountain, New Hampshire hats in NHD gray and black, can be seen atop riders' heads all over the country every season. New for 2011-12, Neff is partnering with Scarlett Johansson on "Neff Hope" a "buy one, give one" collaboration that donates special hats to cancer patients. The unique hat design, which is also eco-friendly, comes in black and khaki and is available exclusively at Zappos.com.
Base layers that last even longer than your day on hill.
Long underwear has come a long way. Layering systems still feature traditional skivvies to keep your core warm, but companies like Burton have added streetwear-inspired pieces and ramped up the design and styling so when you take off your jacket after your last run, you can easily step into the bar for an apres beverage. Don't get caught in the cold. For men, stand out in a sea of flannel with Burton's Denim Shirt. If there's even one lady at the off hill dude-fest, she'll thank you.
For women, Burton has a large line of long technical flannels, hoodies, and tank tops. With an emphasis on fit, the layering pieces will want to come out of your closet, even when you're not going to the mountain. The Burton's Women's Henley deftly navigates the line of comfy and cute. Look put together after coming off hill, without seeming overdone, in this casual cousin of the cotton button-up. If you're looking for something a little funnier that helps suitors know what you'd like at the bar, try the cheeky Women's Player Long Sleeve.
Audio equipment that will please your eyes as well as your ears.
If you're going to listen to music on hill, make sure that your ears AND eyes are happy with a classy pair of Frends Headphones. There's plenty of styles to choose from, but the recent Denham x Frends collab that was released late last year is a nice choice.
Face protection and style in one.

Stay warm, dry, and looking good with a NXTZ facemask. Whether you're riding the sunny slopes of Tahoe, or cold and snowy Colorado, a NXTZ neck tube will protect your face from the elements, eliminating wind and goggle burn from your vocabulary. The tubes come in 1 or 2 layer, so you can pick how warm you'd like to be, and they are all made of a super-breathable material that doesn't freeze when you're going up the lift. Even better, NXTZ works on collabs with your favorite brands and events. Forum Snowboards, Eastern Boarder, Windells Snowboard Camp, and Red Bull Butter Cup are just a few of the companies that have put out limited edition tubes.
A shirt that's warm enough to stand on its own.

Bonfire's PDX Shirt is Northwest classic design and a solid addition to your wardrobe. Depending on the temperature, wear it in place of, or in addition to, a hoodie, but there is no jacket required. With a light insulation, this shirt will look great in the edits you film with your friends, as well as cruising around town when you don't feel like carrying a winter coat.
A smart timepiece.

Nixon consistently comes out with smart collections and this season is no exception. Forget the watch-slash-calculator you ran in eighth grade, The Chronicle, from Nixon's Heritage Collection, may not calculate the square root of 16 or spell "boobies" using upside-down numbers, but it's sure to garner respect and adoration from your peers, while making sure you're not late for that dinner date.
A solid pair of socks to keep the dogs from barking.

Stance socks will keep your feet warm, and the creative and thoughtful sock designs are as tech as they are good-looking. Individuality doesn't have to stop at your knees. Keep your feet happy and the rest of you will be happy.
No slip style.
No one wants to slip up when holding onto a nosegrab, trying to land a one footer, or even just when skating through the liftline (hey, it happens). The solution to your gripping and grabbing problems: Crab Grab. Preston Strout, Owner of High Cascade Snowboard Camp, and his wife, Dawn, unleashed the miniature claw-shaped pads at Mount Hood, igniting the adoration of tons of excited campers, as well as older shreds who can always use a little help nailing that Japan or crail.
The right wax to keep you shredding at top speed.
If you're not going downhill, nothing else matters. Keep your snowboard waxed and ready for anything from pow turns, to corduroy cruisers, to warm, slushy laps with ASS Wax. ASS Industries has been using their own breed of "State of the Fart Technology since 1998" and they've kept a legion of East Coasters cruising down the treacherous steeps on Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and more.
Party preparation in your pocket at all times

After a long day taking runs with your crew, relaxation and a little social enjoyment is standard protocol. Keep the "parti" going with Rome's Parti Time Can Wrap, good for dressing up any aluminum can adult beverage of your choice.
