Koby Abberton, Russell Crowe and Sunny AbertonThe Bra Boys certainly know how to keep their reputation for being troublemakers intact. A month after Bra Boy Jai Abberton was issued an arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on charges of assaulting police, his brother, former professional surfer Sunny Abberton, was arrested for aggravated breaking and entering and maliciously damaging property near Sydney's Bondi Beach.
Police are reporting that Abberton went to a housing unit in North Bondi, Australia accompanied by two women and tried to break down a door to confront a man who reportedly was fighting with one of the women. The residents of the unit called the police and Abberton was arrested shortly after 4 AM where shortly thereafter Abberton plead not guilty, posted bail and was told to appear in court in October to face the charges.
The notorious Bra Boys are known as much for their criminal mischief as they are for their surfing prowess. The documentary which delved into the lives of the Bra Boys, appropriately titled Bra Boys and narrated by Academy Award winning actor Russell Crowe, went deep into the culture of the borderline gang and what drove them into a life of crime and surfing.
