Thirty Two Celebrates "32 Day" at Brighton

Everest ArnoldLast week Thirty Two gathered at Brighton, Utah to celebrate 32 day. The number ThirtyTwo is sacred to snowboarders because it is the temperature snow is made.
This number only appears on the calendar once a year and many snowboarders have begun celebrating it as an important holiday.

The event included a banked slalom race, and a rail jam. One hundred sixty people entered the race and the rail jam, with prizes for the top three for men and women, and an overall prize, including a new 32 snowboard and boots, etnies shoes, and $320 cash for the winners.
Midori Oatari took the women's Overall spot, and Brandon Hobush took the men's, with the fastest time down the mountain and the number 2 spot on the rails.
ThirtyTwo team riders Johnny Miller, Scotty Stevens, and Chris Beresford came out to judge the rail jam, Brighton sold more than 450 $32 lift tickets for the day.
