Danny Davis won a shocker in the pipe at the final day of the Breckenridge Dew Tour stop. Despite throwing a super tech, super clean run, it looked to everyone that Shaun White would edge out Davis with a near perfect final run. White ended up second, narrowly, and Scotty Lago rounded out the podium with an absolutely insane first run that if thrown later in the comp may have boosted him even higher. In my humble opinion there was some seriously shoddy judging, Louie Vito's weak score, Elijah Teter's high score, Dany Davis's win.... to name a few. Everyone put on a good show though.
In the women's competition Gretchen Bleiler took home top spot throwing a frontside 9 on the first wall and her patented crippler on the third wall. Kelly Clarke and Elena Hight followed closely behind finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
And that concludes the first ever Winter Dew Tour. All and all a good comp. My only real complaints were the weather and the media pen for the pipe. The designated shooting area for the pipe was on either side near the bottom, awesome. I had to compete with the crowd to shoot at the top, lame. Dew Tour how about giving better access to those shooting your event?
