I first heard of "The Linda Cohn Line" when I moved to Vermont several years ago. Two of my longtime friends, twins Josh and Jeremy, went to college with a fine Vermont chap named John Dutton. John grew up with a fine lad named Zach Allen, Banquet's very own Cultural Director (its a small world I know). So any way, these two (Zach and John) had been using this super scientific measurement for years, "The Linda Cohn Line." At first I was baffled by the complexities of the measurement but I caught on quickly. As it turns out Linda Cohn is the exact middle, or equator if you will, of the female species whereby any women less attractive than Linda Cohn is unworthy of sexual congress, any woman more attractive is "doable." When speaking with a fellow male one generally shortens "The Linda Cohn Line" to simply "The Line." Confused? I'll use it in a sentence.
Bill: "Hey Jerry, I went out with this girl last night."
Jerry: "Oh yeah, was she hot?"
Bill: "I'm not sure I'd say hot but she was definitely above The Line."
Get it? Good because its pure genious. I give you all permission to go forth and use this precise measurement but please don't clam it as your own. Ownership of "The Linda Cohn Line" has been known to cause strife. That's right, after several years of using the measurement Zach and John got into a bit of an agrument as to who was the originator. In an effort to get a leg up on John, Zach did what any reasonably educated, "wired" person would do, that's register "The Line" on Wikipedia. Unfortunately those information Nazi's over there wouldn't accept the entry. Bullshit. There are a lot of things we could get together and fight for - world peace, an end to the war in Iraq, an end to global warming. But are any of those things more important than getting "The Linda Cohn Line" on Wikipedia? I think not.
