Rolls Royce is introducing a new vehicle this year called the Ghost. It was originally designed to compete with the BMW 7 series, a sort of everyday Rolls Royce (if there is such a thing). During the design process Rolls engineers worried that the car was going to come off as too cheap or "limp-wristed" so they decided it was better to beef it up and compete head to head with the Bentley Continental.
The finished product seems like it will be a formidable opponent for Bentley. The Ghost has 560 horespower with a full complement of 12 cylinders to get it there. The car itself is much smaller than the Phantom, which some have likened to driving a fishing trawler. Based on measurements alone it's just a little bigger than a 7 series BMW - making it a much more manageable daily driver.
This is a mean whip for anyone willing to blow $250K on a vehicle. More details and photos on Car & Driver.
