UPDATE: The Video is UP! http://www.rallyfix.com/blogs/detail/Video-TANNER-FOUST-MULHOLLAND-DRIFT/122.html
Tanner Foust drifts on Mulholland. We haven't seen much from Mr. Foust this season - and that's because he's in Europe getting ready to put the smackdown on the Rally America Rallycross series in NJ this fall.
"I've been watching European-style Rally Cross for years," said Foust. "I love the combination of dirt, pavement, jumps and door-to-door action it's like a real-life videogame.."
Rally Cross promises intense crowd-pleasing action in a fan-friendly track environment. Six drivers line up to start at once, piloting high-horsepower compact cars through race traffic over a challenging short course that features jumps, unbanked turns, hills and transitions between pavement and gravel.
For his first European-style Rally Cross event in April, in Portugal, Foust will pilot a 600-horsepower, all-wheel drive Olsbergs MSE Ford Fiesta. The same car he drove at X Games in 2009 to a bronze medal, and also the same model that rival Ken Block will be racing in Rally America stage rally and rally cross this year.
"These are nimble, high-powered cars with incredible handling," said Foust. "They're purpose-built for this incredibly challenging discipline and absolutely insane to drive."
If anyone likes to win races in front of stadiums full of people it's Tanner. Apparently European Rallycross isn't all he's up to...
Can this be legal?
