Surfer, Dave Pearson, arriving at the hospital
Dave Pearson, 46 year old surfer, was wrapping up a day of riding when he was suddenly attacked by a shark. It happened yesterday at 6:30pm at Headland Beach, Australia. In an article from the Herald Sun it explains, "The Coopernook local had been swimming in the rough surf for several hours before the beast attacked him - severing his arm and causing lacerations to his face."
In a lucky break, I guess if a shark attack could be considered lucky, Surf Life Saving caretaker Adam Eady said "The shark bit through his board - if it hadn't of been there it would have ripped him in half."
Pearson was airlifted to the hospital and is now in stable condition.
