We didn't waste any time after getting off the plane. It's only three hours different from the west coast, so we're not even remotely jetlagged. Phil put his bike together as soon as we arrived, and after a little afternoon exploration and picking Porter up at the airport, we started putting in work. Phil already has three or four nuggets in the bag, so everyone is psyched. Porter's bike hasn't shown up yet, but we expect to have it today.
Excerpt from Day 2
Porter's bike is still MIA, which put all the focus on Phil to get some more bangers today while we're still in Wellington. Today was our last day in Wellington, because tonight at 1:55am, we're hopping a ferry down to the south island to ride with Justin Leov and a bunch of other guys. We're going to be hitting up some sweet all-mountain trails, so it should be good times.
Tonight we headed over to the NZ 4X championships, where Sam Blenkinsop was shredding up a storm. He got balled up in the finals, ending up in 3rd place, but aside from that, he was owning it all night.
