Staale and Laurent went to ladies night at camp at the end of the session. Staale had both of his thumbs painted in '80s colors.
Having the guys from Rome out at camp was a really good week. It brought a little bit of home out to Hood for a bit and we enjoyed everything that Welches and Government Camp have to offer amongst a really awesome group of people. Sappiness aside, it was real fun. Laurent got on a wicked Blink 182 kick, and we listened to a ton of songs that none of us had heard in a while; it was nostalgic. Staale is always awesome to have around. He's a fury of energy and is pretty hilarious. Enjoy the latest low-resolution, high-fun installment from house on the golf course.

Laurent was a good sport and had his thumb painted black.

"I never conquered, rarely came/16 just held such better days/Days when I still felt alive/We couldn't wait to get outside/The world was wide, too late to try/The tour was over we'd survived/I couldn't wait till I got home/To pass the time in my room alone"

Too sad to grab.

Ill whip.

You can't really tell, but the the thing in Laurent's hand is a prank lighter than squirts water and the blurry thing in the left of the photo is Staale, moving really fast to get out of the stream of water.

After getting squirted, Staale threw a towel over Laurent's head. Why? Because Staale is 17 and has a lot of energy.

If you are ever looking for a laser pointer that is in the shape of a thumbs up, you can find it at the Thriftway in Welches, OR. Staale is the one of the most impulsive shoppers ever; he bought so many toys while he was here. He arrived with a miniature remote-controlled helicopter (broken by Laurent), purchased a replica fake leather Davey Crockett water pouch (which Laurent told him would taste like plastic and it did) and then got the laser pointer (still in operation).

Staale had never had string cheese before. In Norway, you have to wear a sombrero to properly enjoy string cheese.

Leland getting in on the custom.

"That is the worst yardsale ever."

When playing End of the Session Jeng,a it is a good strategy to wear a few layers. Here, Staale has on two Rome summer camp tshirts, both featuring Larry. The top one is also signed by Larry. Pretty awesome.

They don't sell Smirnoff Ice at the Ratt. Christine got Mike'd instead.

Before Laurent went to the airport, we met up with one of the best people in Oregon, Jamie Weller, to go to this awesome Southern-style dinner joint in Portland.

The interior was sweet paintings and hellish tchochkes, the servers were covered in tattoos (natch) and there was probably pretty good music playing, but I don't remember. It was really cool.

This is the kind of cocktail menu I dream about. This place has their custom drinks down.

Jamie went with a classic drink choice and got PBR. This is the best way I've seen PBR served, ever.

Southern food: mac 'n cheese, collard greens and tatertot casserole.

Tommy's bedroom.
End.
