Will new helmets laws make us feel - tied down?Announced today is a pending case in California that may require all resorts in the State to impose strict helmet laws. Some of the new rules would require all employees to wear a helmet as well as all patrons age 18 and under.
As originally reported at ConsumerAffairs.com, the bill was advocated by a doctor that lost his 24-year-old daughter to a skiing related head injury. While helmets certainly don't prevent all head injuries, it's a fair bet that wearing one will limit the chance of injury or death. Then again, we could just close all the resorts and be sure everyone prevented from harming themselves.
