Beautiful women make our knees weak. And a beautiful woman on a beautifully shaped board would make our knees weak and our heart melt. Which is exactly why Sports Illustrated thought it would be an awesome idea for this year's theme in their infamous Swim Suit Edition. SI teamed up with Quiksilver to produce 10 special edition surfboards using their top models which include Alyssa Miller, Anne V, Kate Upton. Each board is specially handcrafted by Quiksilver shapers, Michael Baron, Christiaan Bradley, Brett Warner, Mark Phipps and the legendary Simon Anderson.
The 2012 SI Swim Suit Edition hit stands on Feb. 14 with five of the women gracing the pages with their own Quiksilver board.
Quiksilver also teamed up with Gilt Group, the online destination for designer duds to auction off select Quiksilver/SI boards for charity where all proceeds will benefit the Nature Conservancy’s beaches and oceans conservation work.
