Shreddy Times just released the Weekly Shreddit #2. Along with the usual ST crew antics, this video takes you to Northstar's opening day, and then to Squaw's--the difference being a storm that blanketed Tahoe in 99 inches of snow before it was through. Northstar is fun riding, light coverage, and boxes, etc. Squaw is deep turns and face shots.
Moss Halladay is most at home in fresh snow and backcountry lines, having spent time tooling around Colorado's hikable and sled-accessible terrain and competing in The North Face Masters, and he eagerly strapped into snowshoes to access Tahoe's terrain covered in the bountiful snowfall. Says Moss, "the best phrase for this past week would have to be "zero to pow-hero." It was pretty amazing watching my car get completely buried and then rolling up to the mountain and riding lines that shouldn't be open till January." Though the spoils of a huge storm leave a little to be desired when it comes to cleaning off cars and walkways. Says Moss, "haha...well it took me two days to dig it out if that means anything." Not a bad trade off for four days of powder turns during Thanksgiving week.
