The Shane McConkey Foundation is proud to announce one of the greatest ski competitions known to man and woman: the Pain McShlonkey Classic at Squaw Valley USA. The Shane McConkey Fund
This action packed on and off-mountain event will serve as a hilarious tribute to legendary skier Shane McConkey as pros and amateurs battle for the highly coveted Golden Saucer trophy and bragging rights.
McConkey was the mastermind behind the original Pain McShlonkey Open which debuted in 2003 featuring a Switch GS, a Saucer Small Air and the timeless Chinese Downhill. What began as a behind-the-scenes, late-night race between competitors at the 1998 Winter X Games has evolved into a beloved event, attracting athletes from around the world.
The goal of the Foundation is twofold: to carry on this legacy through random acts of kindness and charitable giving and to inspire others to make a difference in the world at large.
