Rob Kidnie plans to paddle through the Mekong river
to raise awareness about plastic bags in waterways
Surfers are really starting to push for recycling and cleaner oceans. Starting in Cambodia and going through the Mekong River, Kite-n-Surf school owner, Rob Kidnie, plans to paddle down the Vietnam waterways in hope for cleaner water. In an article Kidnie explains, The paddle down the Mekong River is a challenge that I would relish in itself, but I see this as a golden opportunity to raise awareness for the need for cleaner oceans, waterways and beaches.
The Australian surfer plans to begin his journey in the beginning of May and it will last about two weeks. Kidnie hopes to get more sponsors and an organization to use the money for marine clean-ups and pollution awareness. So I m trying to get in contact with as many like minded people as I can to help and support with the charity side of things.
