A skier died last Saturday after striking a tree at a trail named Sleeper in Warren, said a nursing supervisor at Central Vermont Medical Center.

 Officials were still trying to confirm the identity of the skier Saturday evening, said Jeanne Stearns, a nursing supervisor at the Berlin hospital. She said the victim was a 30-year-old male. “They were from out of town,” Stearns said, adding that the man died around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
