Former Dew Cup champion Ryan Nyquist of San Jose, Calif. brought home a first-place finish at the BMX dirt final at the Dew Tour’s Wendy’s Invitational.

Nyquist pulled an opposite double truck, a competition first for him, and a barspin 720 as part of his award-winning run that earned him a 92.69. La Mesa, Calif.-native Dennis Enarson was a close second with a score of 91.75 and pulled a no handed one-footer tailwhip and a triple whip. Scotty Cranmer, of Jackson, N.J., rounded out the podium in third with a score of 91.50.

“Historically the Dew Tour stop in Portland has always been a good one for me, and I’m just happy it worked out in my favor,” said Nyquist. “I had been working on the opposite double truck, and I had never really felt comfortable throwing it in a competition before, so I was happy about sticking it.”

Totino's Field Notes

Totino's Field Notes - Road to the 2010 US Open of Snowboarding. It's been an interesting year for Totino's team riders Danny Davis and Mason Aguirre. After starting strong in the Fall and early season, with great contest results at the Totino's Open in Breckenridge, both riders suffered injuries. Danny is out for the year, but Mason recently came back and plans to throw down at next week's US Open of Snowboarding in Stratton, VT.
