The Nissan O'Neill Xtreme Veriber is one of the most prestigious freeskiing competitions around the globe. It will take place this Saturday March 15 on the face of Mont Gele in Verbier, Switzerland. The original place of competition was to be held on the famous Bec des Rosses to Mont Gele but due to low snow conditions it was moved.

A total of 37 male and female skiers and snowboarders will participate in the contest conquering the 45-degree angle of the face of Mont Gele. The face includes narrow couloirs, high rock cliffs and changing snow and terrain.

Spectators can watch the contest from the Les Attelas, which has lift access from Verbier village. The main street of Verbier will transform for the weekend. Food and drink stands, giant screen with films rolling, activities for the kids and the athletes will be signing autographs.
