In a strange turn of events Nike and Louis Vuitton both released photos of their respective Kanye West-designed high tops. The much talked about Nike Sportswear "Air Yeezy" was officially announced today, while Louis Vuitton released photos of their own shoe that Kanye designed.

Of course a $150 pair of Nike's will appeal to a different audience than a $750 pair of LV's, it's still a little strange that both companies are releasing a similar shoe from the same designer on the same day.

Either way both pairs are pretty sick. No word on a release date for the Louis Vuitton joints, but Nike has confirmed that the first pairs of Yeezy's will be hitting stores sometime in April.
