Join Jimmy on a ride from Daytona to San Diego.On January 22, 2000, while practicing for a Supercross event, Jimmy Button endured a tragic crash which paralyzed him from the neck down. With no riders union in existence Jimmy not only suffered emotionally but financially as well. Fast forward about 10 years later and with his amazing courage and determination Jimmy plans to start a 2,428 mile bike ride across the US. The once paralyzed athlete is now not only walking but is ready to ride in hopes to raise money for his Road 2 Recovery Foundation.
"Miles for Miracles" will begin February 20,2011 at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium, the exact place where Jimmy's accident had occurred. This 2 month journey will take Jimmy from San Diego, California all the way to Daytona, Florida The money raised for Road 2 Recovery will go toward research that may help end the pain others go through after a spinal cord injury.
