1) Can you talk about yourself a little? Where do you live? What do you do for work? My name is Arthur Girault, I live everywhere. I principally snowboard and work for it. Soon I am going to make some decisions about my future.
2) How long have you been riding, where did you start? I've been riding for six years and I started in Val d'Isere.
3) Do you always ride the same spots, or do you switch it up? I travel as much as I can.
4) What do you dig about snowboarding in general? Shooting with my homies and trying to make things move forward. I don't think the industry is interesting and open; that sounds paradoxical for a sport which conveys a cool image.
5) What is your best memory from snowboarding? I don't really know, let's say each time I put my boots on.
6) And the worst? When my friend Yann hit his head hard on a steel post and I was the one who pushed him to ride the spot.
7) Who are your sponsors? My principal sponsor is me so I work in construction during the summer and my sponsors hook me up with free gear: ADVITA, CELSIUS, CELTEK, BATALEON, TECHNINE, SPY, S-WEAR, L'AMY and Le LABO shop.
8) What are the projects you are working on in life and snowboarding? My project in life is to feed and raise a family when I'm mature enough, we'll see. In snowboarding, it's to continue to realize good quality films with my crew and to keep moving forward even if it seems hard in this industry.
9) Tell us a little about riding at your resort. Val d'Isere is one of the best spots for backcountry in the Alps, there are many spots to ride if there is powder. Otherwise, the resort is narrow-minded. There is no room for the youth, the snowboard is not important for them, so the infrastructure's bad. I'd rather stop thinking about that.
10) Thank-yous: Everyone who supports the cause (the reals recognize the reals). All my friends from Advita. www.advitawear.com
