This Sunday, July 8th is the 3rd annual Midland Jam at the Benjamin Soto Skatepark in Staten Island. This is one of the best bike events in New York. The whole community comes together and tears it up at the park. The best part is that there is a mountain bike category, so all the street rippers can thrown down and win prizes.
Adam Hauck came through last year and took first place in the MTB category. Expect a solid turnout from a host of East Coast shredders.
This event has a TON of sponsors so free gear will be not be impossible to score. The icing on the cake here is that Anson Wellington's band "Shoe Box and a Bucket" will be playing live in the afternoon. Zoo York BMX team rider Wormz also plays in the band and will be on hand all day riding and then slaying his guitar.
