Liquid Force never ceases to deliver when it comes to innovative wakeboard design and features. Case in point: the new 2009 Trip Series. A modernized version of the classic Trip model, the '09 series comes in 130, 134, 138, 142 and big-boy-148 sizes. Drew Brophy, an artist who has specialized in surf / surfboard art, added his own killer graphics to the wakeboard set. As you can see in the photos above, all 5 boards in a row create a giant ocean lineup, complete with mesmerizing waves and a rad sunset. It's nice to see Brophy & LF do to wakeboards what Evan Hecox and Chocolate (among others) have done to skateboards for years and create a series of boards that bridge the gap between equipment / art and collectively add up to "board art." iDig.
Now on to the tech details. The Trip Series boards feature:
Variable Edge Rail
D-I-S-C hull through center - Double-Inside-Single-Concave
Softens landings and maintains board speed.
Modern Bat Tail - Fuller than the original for more lift off the tail of the board and tucked in tips for quick transitions.
Aggressive, continuous rocker - Smooth, fluid carves with a high arcing pop.
Molded-in Warped Long Based Side Fins - Superior tracking hold with minimum drag.
