Surf is on its way back up in town with some 3-footers in perfect conditions and even Country got some tiny dribble today for the desperate guys who are too stubborn to go into Honolulu.
Hawaii is concerned about a so-called Super Staph which has been growing in the islands for the last 6-8 months. click here to read a recent article in the Honolulu Advertiser.  In my personal opinion, which means nothing, it seems that maybe Hawaii would be less staph-infected if we updated the sewage systems here; some of them are very old, to say the least.
The Japanese documentary Rokkashomura Rhapsody will be shown June 12 and 13th at UH. It is about a village suffering from the effects of a reprocessing plant.
Kevin Connely won the Real B Voice Longboard Pro sponsored by Taito and presented by Kaido in Chiba Japan. It will be the first ASP event in Japan for the season. Ben Skinner took second and Bonga Perkins 3rd. The Maldives is going off for the WQS and surfers are estatic. Mick Campbell was quoted in the ASP Press release claiming "the best day I can remember in ASP WQS history" Sunny Garcia had a great round and it looks like he will advance to round three.
