On June 12th 2008 Kevin will attempt to fly higher than any other on a bike.
Hoffman first set the record in 1992 by being towed into a 20-foot-high ramp and soaring 20 feet above that, putting him 40 feet above the ground. He has since improved on that record several times and the current mark stands at 26.5 feet above a 24-foot ramp, 50.5 feet above the ground.
Kevin's Super Quarterpipe will be 27 feet high, meaning he will have to be 27 feet above the top of the ramp and soar more than 54 feet above the ground to break the world record. Yours truly will be at the event for Red Bull and bnqt.com so look for some crazy pics in about a week....
