X Games fever is in the air, and in case you don't get ESPN the Magazine, you might have missed a nice little piece on AMA Supercross Star James Stewart.  Stewart is unquestionably the dominant force in dirtbike racing, yet has never competed in an X Games.  The article makes no direct mention of the fact that Stewart is black and also happens to be poised to break into the echelon of athletes that the X Games have propelled to superstardom, all of whom heretofore have happened to be white: White, Sheckler, Mirra, Pastrana, etc. (I might very well be wrong, but I don't believe a black athlete has ever won a gold medal at either Summer or Winter X... maybe back in the 1990s in street luge or something... I posed the question to ESPN media, we'll see what they come back with).  Here he is singing Rick James:
