For one of the most widely publicized and covered events in all of Action Sports, the Jon Olsson Super Sessions, the coverage on the finals and results has been largely non-existant. For the duration of the contest it seemed every pro rider- nay, every person associated with the event was posting daily blog updates, and video updates. We were buried in these things, they were everywhere. And then the contest wrapped up and pretty much everything went silent. Newschoolers hasn't posted an update since the contest moved to Sweden six or so days before it ended. Maybe everyone was just exhausted and didn't want to deal with it anymore. Nonetheless, we will try and cobble together a coverage wrap here.
Firstly, Andreas Hatveit had the best weekend, winning second in the JOI Big Air comp before taking home a 20.000 USD check for his performance as a member of Team Norway, which won the overall Supersessions Contest. The only reason we really know this is from a grainy, oblique picture posted on John Symms' blog. This, as far as I know, is the only representation anywhere of the results at the JOSS:

From Symms' blog we also know that Team USA [Colby West and Symms] won the People's Choice award despite being slaughtered by the judges.
We also have this video courtesy of www.jonolsson.com, that helps us understand the situation somewhat:
And of course, Jacob Wester's Vimeo production sneak peek we posted yesterday:
Word on the Newschoolers forums is that the official team video edits will begin dropping on April 16th and continue through the 28th. Why this is being done this way, I have no idea.
