Some people have really good publicists.  Case in point, a surfer and model from Great Britain named Hannah Harding.  Harding is a 25 year-old British surfer and model who was recently crowned the women's national champion after winning the English Surfing Federation title last week in Cornwall, England.  Never heard of the English Surfing Federation, or even of Hannah Harding before?  That’s OK, neither have we nor pretty much anyone else in the surf industry.  Yet British News Organization the Daily Mail reported on their front page that Harding is not only a surfing champion, but that she signed a modeling contract with Prime Model Agency.  Bravo publicist, bravo!

The story goes on to say that Harding only started surfing five years ago, and yet now she is a surfing champion.  While initially skeptical about Harding’s surfing skills given most professional surfers start when they’re just little groms, Harding can surf.  The story actually does redeem itself in a very good way.  Accompanying the piece are photos of Harding.  Very nice.  And after some googling extensive research Harding can definitely surf, as evident by the video below.  The British surf scene is definitely on a different level from most other countries.

Even though this story seems to be nothing more than an extravagant press release written by a very savvy publicist that was rewritten to look like a news story, Hannah Harding deserves some credit for both her surfing and for being incredibly hot.   Bravo publicist!  Congratulations to Hannah Harding for winning the English Surfing Federation’s women’s national championship.
