Let’s hear it for illegal gambling! The 2007 Dew Tour is rolling into Cleveland this weekend and what better way to celebrate then by handicapping the field and starting up an illicit gambling ring right here on BNQT? Inexplicably, none of the so-called “legitimate” sports books out there are providing odds on the biggest tour in action sports. But since we’re all about progression here, we’re letting you, the BNQT user, place your bets with us! We’ll be providing odds throughout the week on each Dew Tour event, and you can lay your wagers down right here. The only catch is that we don’t have any offshore servers in Barbados yet, and “the man” isn’t too keen on Internet gambling in the US, so you’ll have to physically come by our office here in Pasadena and place your bet in cold, hard cash: Come to the door, knock, ask for “Captain Action,” and go wait around back in the alley. And you better come correct: we will hunt you down and break your goddamn kneecaps for non-payment. Also: get here before 12:00 PST time Thursday because prelims are starting then. Without further ado, the official Banquet skate park odds:

Ryan Sheckler –off the board - no way f’ning way we’re letting you bet on Sheckler. Since ’05, he’s taken 968 out of a possible 1100 points in Dew Tour skate comps. That is called outright dominance. (If you think that’s lame, take solace: the rest of the odds have been skewed to reflect this).

Greg Lutzka
– 3-1 – Lutzka bagged 2nd in Baltimore, the only competitor to get a whiff of Sheckler in the finals. Lutzka is also from Milwaukee, so he’s practically at home in Cleveland… except for the weird smell there.

Austen Seaholm - 12-1 – Could be a solid sleeper pick at those odds. Finished 8th on the tour last year, posted a 6th place in Baltimore, after getting 2nd in the prelims.

Jereme Rogers – 3-1 - Never count out any skater sponsored by a rim company (Zenetti). Rogers posted 2nd overall on last year’s tour, but disappointed in Baltimore with an 11th place finish. Apparently he’s hungry to buy a Maybach though, and maybe that will be powerful enough motivation to win Cleveland.

Carlos De Andrade
– 13 -1 - Here’s an intriguing possibility for all you risk takers out there. De Andrade’s been pro for a long time, but has never displayed a lot of consistency. Third place in Baltimore might be enough for you to take a look at those odds.

Rodolfo Ramos
– 7-1 – If you’re scratching your head at that posting, remember this: Ramos finished third overall on the Dew Tour last year, and finished third at the ’06 Right Guard open.

Nyjah Huston
– 15-1 - Who even knows if this guy is competing? We don’t, but if you’ve got some inside info, he could be a steal. Three top fives on last year’s tour.

The field – 30-1 Anybody else you pick goes off at 30-1. Them’s the rules.

So hurry up, borrow some money from mom, and place your bets here at Banquet World Headquarters. If you can't make it down here in time, just throw your prediction up in the comments section, and if you're right (and you didn't pick Sheckler) we might send you a t-shirt. Look for more odds postings real soon, and enjoy the Dew Tour!

Totino\'s Field Notes

Totino's Field Notes

Totino's Field Notes - Road to the 2010 US Open of Snowboarding. It's been an interesting year for Totino's team riders Danny Davis and Mason Aguirre. After starting strong in the Fall and early season, with great contest results at the Totino's Open in Breckenridge, both riders suffered injuries. Danny is out for the year, but Mason recently came back and plans to throw down at next week's US Open of Snowboarding in Stratton, VT.
