CONNOR OSE, BRIAN KUCHARSKI AND ZANE BRADLEY WIN GATORADE FREE FLOW TOUR EVENTS AT RYE AIRFIELD

Trio Advances to Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals in Salt Lake City

Out of a field of 60 skaters and 32 BMX riders, Connor Ose (skate park), Brian Kucharski (skate vert) and Zane Bradley (BMX park and vert) won their respective competitions Saturday at the Gatorade Free Flow Tour’s stop in Rye, N.H.

Sixteen-year-old Ose from Williston, Vt. earned the skate park victory at Rye Airfield after executing a backside 360 and a big spin frontboard during the final jam session. Brandon Strosser was second and Dakota Welty finished in third place.

“Salt Lake City is going to be fun,” Ose said. “I’m psyched I get to go with some of my best friends. I can’t wait.”

In the skate vert contest, 18-year-old Kucharski from Monroe, N.J. used an almost-flawless run that included an alley-oop kickflip indy and an indy McTwist to claim the victory.

Kucharski is a three-time winner on the Gatorade Free Flow Tour, also winning the Philadelphia, Pa. stop in 2007 and the Rye Airfield competition in 2008. Ose is also a repeat winner having won the Burlington, Vt. event in 2008.

In the BMX park and vert competitions, 14-year-old Bradley from Troy, N.H. swept the day’s events, winning both contests with technical tricks and innovative lines throughout his runs.

“I can’t wait to get to the Finals,” Bradley said. “I’ve heard it’s so much fun. I’m going to ride as much as possible until then so that I can compete with the best.”

“This was the best outside event to ever come through the park,” Rye Airfield manager, Beau Lambert, said. “This year was great because of the small attention to detail that went into the stop. From the heat sheets to the goodie bags, the Gatorade Free Flow Tour is a great event.”

With the win, Ose, Kucharski and Bradley all earn an automatic bid into the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals that will take place at the Dew Tour’s Toyota Challenge, September 17-20, 2009.

Totino's Field Notes

Totino's Field Notes - Road to the 2010 US Open of Snowboarding. It's been an interesting year for Totino's team riders Danny Davis and Mason Aguirre. After starting strong in the Fall and early season, with great contest results at the Totino's Open in Breckenridge, both riders suffered injuries. Danny is out for the year, but Mason recently came back and plans to throw down at next week's US Open of Snowboarding in Stratton, VT.
