I'm all for pedal-powered contraptions but the thought of ripping singletrack on an electric mountain bike with a top speed of 30 mph gets me excited. It has a range of about 40 miles while using only $1 worth of electricy. Cool beans. The best part? It retails for about $5,000. While not cheap, it's certainly less expensive than a top of the line DH bike - like the Trek Session 88 DH which clocks in at $6,400.
