The Dubai skyline is impressive!

Flying into Dubai is like nothing I have ever done. As you are getting over the United Arab Emirates you can begin to see the man-made islands in the Persian Gulf.

They are shaped like palm trees, words, and one cluster even forms m a model of the world. When we landed we step off of the airplane into some serious heat.

Pierre was tired after a long flight from Los
Angeles.

It was actually a fairly cool day at only 96 degrees. Temperatures here can get up to 125 degress F, so I guess 96 isn't that bad after all.

On our way from the airport to our hotel we pass through the futuristic city of Dubai, which we couldn't wait to explore.

We then check into the luxurious Kempinski Hotel where we will be staying during our snowboarding trip.

Snowboarding in Dubai! Crazy!

Yes, you read correctly, we went to Dubai, a desert city averaging 100 degrees, for a snowboard trip.
