The Action Sports world is in Portland this weekend for the Vans Invitational stop of the Dew Tour. Let’s get right to all the hot, hot action shall we:
Sheckler? Yeah, he won the skate park prelims, posting a 90.25. He also hurt himself slightly towards the end of the run. Here’s how the Dew Tour wordsmith phrased it:
“Assuming he’ll be back in action for the Finals, he’ll have his work cut out for him. In addition to Lutzka, Seaholm, and Ramos, he’ll have Danilo do Rosario, Fabrizio Santos, Danny Fuenzalida, Jereme Rogers, Chad Fernandez, Rodolfo Ramos, and Paul Rodriguez to contend with, on a course that favors the diverse styles of each of them equally.â€Â
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
While we’re on the topic of Sheckler, why don’t we get a two-minute cringe in here?
Over on Vert? Shaun White, ah… yeah, he’s SO hot right now. Back to the Dew Tour scribe:
“Pierre-Luc Gagnon, and Andy Macdonald rounded out the top three, and a total of ten skaters are heading into Saturday’s Vert Finals, with Bob Burnquist, Bucky Lasek, Rob Lorifice, Danny Mayer, Jean Postec, Alex Perelson, and Rune Glifberg also in the mix.â€Â
Just for the sake of symmetry, let’s get a Shaun White clip in here, eh?
I swear he set that newswoman up.
Now, if you’re interested in BMX, you should stop wasting your time reading this and go check Kosman’s edit of the prelims. Also an update from Catfish here. If you’re too lazy or stupid for those, here are the dirt prelim results:
